NOC Tonkawa got off to a slow start and never recovered in a 64-52 loss to Redlands Monday night.
"Our first quarter slow start put us uphill the rest of the way," said coach Greg Krause. "We want to finish strong Thursday leading into playoffs next week."
The Lady Mavs trailed 17-3 after the first quarter and cut the lead to nine in the 4th quarter but fell to the Lady Cougars 54-42.
Kaydrin Scott led the Lady Mavs with 19 points.
The Lady Mavs (12-15) fell to 8-7 in league play while Redlands (19-90 improved to 9-8 in conference.
NOC is at NEO Thursday night at 5:30 p.m.
