Lady Mavs send out sophomores with win over Redlands

The NOC Lady Mavs sent their sophomores out in style with a win Monday night and remained in second place in the conference with a 67-53 win over Redlands Monday night.

NOC Tonkawa (16-11) is now 12-3 in conference and have won four straight.  Murray State leads the conference with a 13-1 record.

Sophomore Jordan Holman led the Lady Mavs with 29 points.  Kaydrin Scott also reached double figures with 11.

Holman also reached the 1000 point plateau for her career at NOC and was presented a ball before the game recognizing the accomplishment.

NOC led comfortably in the third quarter 46-31 before Redlands rallied to within 48-44 late in the third.

The Lady Mavs then stepped on the gas with a 13-2 run to take control of Monday's contest.

The Lady Mavs are at Murray State Thursday to close the regular season.  The NJCAA Region 2 Playoffs are March 8-11 in Muskogee.

Before the game, sophomores Jordan Holman, Lexie Boyer, and Morgan Hawkins were recognized with their families.

Athletic training sophomores Cash Jay, Ashlyn Larman, Samantha Smith, Ethan Starks, Blake Yauneridge, and Mia Yerian were also recognized.
