Allison Green's two free throws with :02.1 left gave the Lady Mavs a 65-63 win over rival NOC Enid Tuesday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.

The Lady Mavs (4-5) improved to 3-0 in conference play.

The Lady Mavs trailed the Lady Jets 29-27 at half but the Lady Mavs came out smoking in the third quarter outscoring the Lady Jets 26-14 to take a 53-43 lead heading to the fourth quarter.

NOC Tonkawa was in control leading 60-46 midway in the fourth before the Lady Jets rallied to tie the game at 61-61 with :51 left.

Green made two free throws with :36.4 remaining giving the Lady Mavs a 63-61 lead and after the Lady Jets countered with two free throws to tie the game at 63-63, Green drove to the basket and was fouled with :02.1.

The freshman from Kingfisher calmly nailed both free throws to give the Lady Mavs the two point win.

Green led the Lady Mavs with 16 points while Jordan Holman added 15.

"Good tough win for us," said coach Greg Krause.  "It's a good way to go into Christmas Break before we start up again in January. I thought our team defense was an important part of getting a lead and then hanging on to it down the stretch."

Tuesday's game was the final game of the semester for the Lady Mavs.  NOC is at Grayson College Jan. 3 in their next action.
