EL DORADO, Kansas -- NOC dropped two non-conference games to Butler (KS) on Monday 9-1 and 13-11.
The Mavs are now 21-17 on the year.
In Game 2, the Mavs rallied from down 10-7 in the seventh only to lose 13-11 to Butler.
The Mavs scored their four runs on a single by Allison McGowan, a Hannah Endicott ground out, and a Butler error to plate four. Butler then hit a three-run walk off home run to earn the 13-11 win.
Ryllie Shipp, Jayden Looper, and Allison McGowan had three hits each for NOC while Endicott, Savannah Chenoweth, and Morgan Meyer had two hits each. Meyer added three runs batted in.
Emma Enderud worked in the circle for the Mavs.
In Game 1, the Mavs lost 9-1, the lone run coming on a Jayden Looper solo home run in the fifth inning.
Lauren Bratcher and Ashlyne Roblyer worked in the circle for the Mavs.
NOC hosts Seminole Thursday at 2 p.m.
