Storts has big day as Mavs split games at Rose State

MIDWEST CITY, Oklahoma --  Kyla Storts had a big day for NOC with five hits and seven rbi's in a doubleheader split at Rose State.

The Mavs (21-15) won the first game 5-3 and dropped the nightcap 10-9.

NOC is 11-7 in leage while Rose State (21-17) is 9-9 in conference.

In Game 1, Kyla Storts doubled home Hannah Endicott and Ryllie Shipp with the go ahead runs in the 6th inning in a 5-3 NOC Tonkawa win.

Storts had two hits and three runs batted in to lead the Mavs who had nine hits.  Endicott added two hits from the leadoff spot.

Lauren Bratcher did the rest in the circle allowing no earned runs on four hits while striking out four in tossing a complete game.

In the second game, Rose State walked off a 10-9 win in the seventh after the Mavs tied the score at 9-9.

Haiden Huster's ground out scored Shipp to give the Mavs new life but Rose then scored in the bottom half.

Storts continued her hot hitting with three hits including two doubles and four runs batted in.

Shipp had two hits and scored three runs.

Ashlyne Roblyer and Emma Enderud worked in the circle for the Mavs.

NOC is at Butler (KS) Monday for a non-conference doubleheader.
