Mavs win fourth straight, beat Redlands 71-62

On sophomore night, the NOC Mavs won their fourth straight with a 71-62 win over Redlands Monday night.

The Mavs (13-16) have now won seven of nine and are 7-8 in conference after starting 0-6.  NOC is in 5th place one game behind Seminole.

Mohamed Kante and Javontae Campbell led the Mavs with 20 points each while Jason Hunt added 12.

The Mavs trailed 38-34 at half and 48-41 early in the second half before the Mavs went on a 22-4 run to take a 63-52 lead.

Redlands never got closer than seven the rest of the way with the Mavs closing out the Cougars with six late points building the lead to 81-68.

The Mavs are at Murray State Thursday night in the final regular season game of the year.

The Region 2 Tournament is in Muskogee March 8-11.

Montrez Ward and Kiya Randolph were recognized as Maverick sophomores before the game.  Cheerleaders Katy Frazier, Haleigh George, and Hannah Haley were also recognized.
