The NOC Mavs rallied past Southwestern (KS) JV 69-59 Monday night in Tonkawa.

The Mavs (3-6) were led by Mohamed Kante with 18 while Jason Hunt added 15, and Montrez Ward 11.

NOC trailed the Mounbuilders 57-54 with 4:49 left when the Mavs went on a 15-2 run to finish the game.

The Mavs defense held Southwestern without a point for 4:15 during that stretch.

Kante had a dunk and twisting layup to lead the charge late for the Mavs.

NOC opens conference play Thursday night hosting Western at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
