The NOC Mavs fell to Cowley 63-55 at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse Wednesday night.

The Mavs (2-4) were led by Kiya Randolph and Montrez Ward with 14 points each.

NOC played uphill in the second half as the Mavs answered a number of Cowley runs but could never get over the hump.

The Mavs held their final lead at 36-34 on a Devontae Campell basket but Cowley immediately rallied to take a 41-36 lead.  The teams would trade baskets with the Tigers taking as much as a seven point lead before the Mavs cut the deficit to 55-52 on a Mohamed Kante free throw and got a stop creating a possession to tie but the Mavs turned the ball over with 1:02 left and Cowley then added late free throws to win 63-55.

NOC held as much as an eight point lead early in the first half at 19-11. before Cowley rallied to take a 27-26 halftime edge.

The Mavs face Kilgore (TX) and Butler (KS) in the Mavs Classic Friday and Saturday in Tonkawa.
