Redlands battled back in the second half taking an 82-79 with 3:30 left in the game and tied the game at 87-87 forcing overtime.

In the overtime, the Mavs made five free throws to build a 92-88 and then after Redlands cut the lead to 92-91 the Mavs made one final defensive stop to seal the one point win.

"Poud of our guys for battling," said coach Brad Witherspoon. "I told them every conference game is going to be like that. I thought we showed a lot of toughness down the stretch and we got a big defensive stop to win the game. We needed to win a close game like that"
