In the second game, the Mavs fell in extra innings 10-9.

NOC led 7-4 in the 5th and then had to battle back with two runs in hte 8th to tie the game at 9-9.

Carl Albert then pushed across the go-ahead run in the 10th to take a 10-9 lead.  NOC had the bases loaded in the 10th but failed to take advantage.

Edwards and Landen Johnson had three hits each while Johnson and Blade Carver had two runs batted in each.  Kelly Yancey had two hits for NOC while Yancey, Luke Shannahan, and Elijah Laus had one rbi each.

Brenden Carter, Liam McKinney, Nakni Anna, and Kaegan Baker worked for the Mavs.

In Game 1, the Mavs had one hit, by Larry Edwareds, Jr., and lost 3-0.  

Logan Taylor allowed three runs on eight hits in seven innings of work striking out eight Viking hitters.

The Mavs (23-11) fell to 7-5 in conference while Carl Albert (18-12) improved to 6-6 in league play.

The Mavs host Hesston (KS) Tuesday at 1 p.m.
