Mavs split with Pratt Thursday

In the home opener, the Mavs split with Pratt (KS) Thursday winning Game 1 6-5 and dropping the night cap 13-3.

In Game 1, the Mavs scored two runs in the 5th to take a 6-5 lead and held on for the one run win over Pratt.

Trailing 5-4 in the 5th the Mavs used a bases loaded single by Daniel Yardley scoring Landen Johnson and Luke Shannahan to take a 6-5 lead.

Cale Schroeder then worked a scoreless 6th and Nakni Anna slammed the door in the 7th earning the save.

NOC scored three runs in the 5th on run scoring hits by Carson Taylor, Elijah Laus, and Larry Edwards, Jr.

Blade Carver had three hits for the Mavs while Larry Edwards, Jr. and Luke Shannahan had two for NOC.  

Caleb Lunnon started for the Mavs working 4.2 innings.

In Game 2, Pratt broke open a 4-1 game in the 7th inning.

NOC had three hits in Game 2, Johnson, Shannahan, and Carson Taylor reaching safely.

Shannahan and Carver had rbi's for the Mavs.

Logan Taylor started for the Mavs with Kaegan Baker, David Brown, and Brenden Kamnick working from the bullpen.

The Mavs (9-2) host Pratt Sunday at noon in a doubleheader.
