PIEDMONT, Oklahoma --  The Coach Michael Keeran era got off to a great start Friday at NOC with a 9-1 and 11-2 sweep of Iowa Lakes at Piedmont High School.

In Game 1, Caleb Lunnon allowed one run over 5.1 innings Matthew Stancliff and Luke Shannahan had two hits each in a 9-1 win.

NOC broke open a 2-0 game with four runs in the sixth to take a commanding 6-0 and then cruised to the 9-1 win.

Lunnon allowed five hits and struck out five for the Mavs.  Luke McKinney worked the final 1.2 innings for the Mavs.

Stancliff had three hits, two steals, and scored three runs from the lead-off spot while Luke Shannahan had two triples and scored two runs.

Ethan Rossi belted a three run double in the sixth for the Mavs.

In Game 2, the Mavs scored in six separate innings in an 11-2 rout over Iowa Lakes.

Landen Johnson had two hits and four runs batted in while Elijah Laus added two doubles and Blade Carver added two hits and two runs batted in.

Logan Taylor worked five innings for the Mavs allowing one run on three hits while striking out six.  Kaegan Baker and Cale Schroder worked from the Mavs' pen.

NOC outhit Iowa Lakes 9-4 in improving to 2-0 on the year.
