ENID, Oklahoma -- The NOC Tonkawa Mavs fell into the elimination bracket losing to NOC Enid 16-10 in Enid on Friday.

The Mavs (39-19) played from behind all afternoon as NOC Enid scored eight runs in the first inning.

NOC Tonkawa rallied to within 11-8 and 13-10 but the Jets scored three late runs to win 16-10.

Preston Knott had a big day at the plate with four hits and three runs scored.  Jaylyn Bennett had three hits including a triple and four runs batted in.

Matt Stancliff homered and drove in two for the Mavs.

Caleb Lunnon started for the Mavs with help from four relievers.

The Mavs face Murray State Saturday morning to stay alive in the Plains District Tournament.
