The NOC Mavs took three of four from #14 South Ark this past weekend.

NOC won 5-4 and 7-6 (13 innings) on Saturday and then split two on Sunday winning 3-1 and losing 10-5 (12 innings).

The Mavs (34-18) improved to 20-12 in conference play while South Ark (37-14) fell to 25-7 in conference.

On Saturday, the Mavs rallied from 4-0 down to win 5-4.

The Mavs scored the go-ahead run when Preston Knott homered to leadoff the fifth.  Trailing 4-0 in the fourth, Enrique Alvarez Jr., homered and then Cade Tucker's double scored three runs to tie the game at 4-4.

Knott's home run was all Eli Cartwright needed as the lefthander went the distance allowing four runs on five hits.

In Game 2, Thomas Dunn singled home Mitchell Lucero with the go-ahead run in the 13th to win 8-7.

Cash Jay had four hits including two doubles and and a home run while Matt Stancliff had three hits including a home run.

David Brown earned the win in relief working 1.1 scoreless innings.

In Game 1 on Sunday, Caden Fiveash tossed a complete game allowing one run on seven hits while striking out four.

The Mavs broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth scoring two runs as Darian Duhon's single scored Thomas Dunn and then Duhon scored on a wild pitch.

In Game 2 on Sunday Matt Stancliff homered and tripled driving home two runs.  Preston Knott had two hits while Cade Tucker had two runs batted in.

Jaylyn Bennett also drove home two runs for NOC Tonkawa.

Gage Norvell was the seventh pitcher, Nate Windle was the starter.
