Duhon's big day leads Mavs past NOC Enid

ENID, Oklahoma -- Darian Duhon homered twice and doubled leading the NOC Tonkawa past NOC Enid 16-5 on Sunday in Enid.

NOC Enid won Game 2 14-6.

The Mavs (30-14) are 16-8 in league play while NOC Enid (18-24) is 8-12 in conference.

In the first game, Duhon accounted for 10 total bases leading the Mavs to the 16-5 win.  Duhon had four runs batted in Game 1.

Preston Knott added three hits and scored four runs while Matt Stancliff, Ethan Starks, and Mitchell Lucero had two hits each.  Cash Jay added three runs batted in for the Mavs.

The Mavs outhit NOC Enid 13-8, the Mavs played an errorless game in the field.

Caden Fiveash went the distance allowing five runs over five innings.

The Mavs left little to chance in Game 1 scoring 16 runs over the first four innings.

In Game 2, the Mavs scored four runs in the first but NOC Enid rallied for a 14-6 win.

Knott had three hits and two steals for the Mavs while Jorge Olivo and Thomas Dunn had two hits each, Olivo had two runs batted in.

Brenden Kamnick started for the Mavs with bullpen help from Breck Carver, David Brown, Gage Norvell, Caleb Lunnon, and Kadin Gehring.

The Mavs host Rich Mountain (AR) in a conference doubleheader Thursday at 1 p.m.
