Mavs beat NOC Enid 6-4, earn split in Tonkawa

Darian Duhon had three hits and Eli Cartwright worked six innings in a 6-4 win over NOC Enid on Friday.

NOC Enid won the night cap 17-5.

The Mavs (29-13) are 15-7 in conference while NOC Enid (18-23) is 9-13 in league.

In Game 1, Matt Stanclliff tripled in Duhon who doubled and then Cade Tucker's single gave that Mavs a 2-1 lead.

Duhon's home run the second scored Thomas Dunn and the Mavs led 4-1.

In the fifth the Mavs scored two runs on a passed ball as Tucker scored from third and Preston Knott scored from second to give NOC a 6-3 lead.

Eli Cartwright worked six innings allowing three runs on four hits.  Blake Priest worked the seventh to earn the save.

In Game 2, NOC Enid scored 13 runs overe the first three innings and beat the Mavs 17-5.

Stancliff, Knott, and Ethan Starks had two hits each.  Jorge Olivo homered and drove home two while Knott added two rbi's.

Caleb Lunnon started for the Mavs.

The Mavs are at NOC Enid's David Allen Memorial Ballpark Sunday at 1 p.m. to conclude the four game conference series.
