Mavs sweep National Park 14-12 and 13-10

HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas --  The NOC Mavs scored go-ahead runs in their final at-bats Saturday earning a sweep of National Park 14-12 and 13-10.

The Mavs (27-12) are now 14-6 in conference play while National Park (12-24) fell to 6-14.  NOC is in third place behind South Arkansas and Western.

In Game 1, Enrique Alvarez Jr. and Preston Knott had seventh inning singles eading the Mavs past National Park 14-12.

Kaden Gehring earned the win from the Mavs bullpen, Blake Priest earned the save with a scoreless seventh.

Cade Tucker was one of the Mavs' hitting stars with two doubles and a home run driving in four runs.  Knott had three hits and three runs batted in for NOC.

Darian Duhon had two hits and two runs scored while Mitchell Lucero had a solo home run.

Caden Fiveash started for the Mavs going three innings.  

In Game 2, the Mavs scored three runs in the tenth to earn a 13-10 win.

Knott homered driving home Cade Tucker after an Elijah Laus sacrifice fly gave the Mavs a three run lead.

David Brown earned the win from the bullpen tossing two scoreless innings.

Matt Stancliff had four hits while Tucker, Alvarez, and Thomas Dunn had two hits each.

Lucero also homered in the second game.

NOC host Hutchinson (KS) Tuesday at 2 p.m.
