The NOC Mavs won two of three against Arkansas Mountain Home Friday and Saturday in Tonkawa.

After dropping the first game 8-7 on Friday, the Mavs swept two games on Saturday 10-9 and 17-2.

Game 1

Cade Tucker hit a seventh inning grand slam but it wasn't enough in an 8-7 loss to Arkansas Mountain Home.

Tucker's blast gave the Mavs a 6-2 lead but Mountain Home scored five runs in the 8th to take a 7-6 lead.  After the Mavs tied the game at 7-7, Mountain Home scored the go-ahead run to earn the 8-7 win.

Preston Knott had two hits for the Mavs while Tucker added four rbi's.  Mitchell Lucero added a double and two runs batted in for the Mavs.

Eli Cartwright started for the Mavs allowing just one run over five innings striking out 10.  Nate Windle and Gage Norvell worked in relief for the Mavs.

Game 2

The Mavs built an 8-1 lead and then held on for a 10-9 win on Saturday.

After Mountain Home tied the game at 9-9, the Mavs scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly by Matt Stancliff scoring Garrison Brandt.

Brandt had three hits including two doubles and two runs scored.  Tucker had two hits and three runs batted in.  Lucero had three runs batted in while Darian Duhon had two hits.

Brenden Kamnick started for the Mavs with bullpen help from Cale Schroeder and Kadin Gehring.

Game 3

In Game 3, the Mavs scored 13 runs in the second inning and cruised to the 17-2. win.

Tucker had another big game with three hits and six runs batted in.  Windle and Brand each added two runs batted in for NOC.

Caleb Lunnon worked the first three innings with help from Cody Hill and Jaxon Olive.

The Mavs (4-3) host Pratt (KS) Saturday for a doubleheader at noon.  The Mavs travel to Pratt on Sunday for two games at noon.
