Des Moines spoils Mavs' season opener

Des Moines Area Community College spoiled the NOC Mavs home opener beating the Mavs 6-2 and 11-2 on Saturday.

In Game 1, DMACC broke open a close game with four runs in the seventh to beat NOC 6-2.

The Mavs out hit DMACC 7-4, Darian Duhon and Thomas Dunn had two hits each for the Mavs.  Duhon and Dunn each had an rbi for the Mavs.

Graeme Rios started for the Mavs allowing two unearned runs on one hit over four innings.  Jaxon Olive tossed the final three innings allowing four runs.

In Game 2, DMACC scored in five innings to beat NOC Tonkawa 11-2.

Cade Tucker had two hits for the Mavs while Duhon and Preston Knott had runs batted in for NOC.

Eli Cartwright started for the Mavs while Cale Schroeder, Kaded Gehring, Cody Hill, and Gage Norvell worked in relief.
