Northern Oklahoma College has selected Bryan Kenney and Jayden Miller to lead the new NOC Wrestling Programs. 

Miller will coach the women while Kenney will coach the men.

The programs will begin wrestling in Fall 2024.

Kenney comes to NOC from the Wylie, Texas, area where he currently leads the JJ Pearce High School Wrestling Program and is a Gold Certified Coach with USA Wrestling.

Miller, a Nebraska native, comes to NOC from Southwestern Oregon Community College where he served as an assistant for the men's and women's wrestling programs.

Athletic Director Alan Foster is excited that Miller and Kenney are leading the re-establishment of the men's program and starting the women's program.

"After a long thorough process, I am happy to identify Jayden Miller and Bryan Kenney to be the head coaches to lead the restart of the wrestling program at Northern Oklahoma College," Foster said.

"Both have experience coaching both men and women wrestling so I think that is a huge benefit as they will assist each other.  I am comfortable with their leadership abilities in this important time as we bring these new programs to fruition," he added.

"Jayden's (Miller) experience at the college level brings an immediate understanding of recruiting and what is needed to run a college program," Foster said.

"Bryan's (Kenney) experience in so many areas of managing and coaching top notch wrestling programs will come in so handy in dealing with all that comes with starting new programs," he added.

Kenny is excited to bring the men's program back after a 30-year absence.

"I first want to thank the NOC Wrestling Search Committee, Kenney said. "I truly appreciate the upcoming opportunity to re-establish the wrestling program at Northern Oklahoma College."

"After being on campus and meeting some members of the community of Tonkawa, I know this is a special place," he said. "We have the support and resources to build a program that will be competing at the national level quickly. This is the heart of 'wrestling country' and NOC offers a great education, academic and athletic scholarships, and is housed in a small town that believes in the future of this program. I am excited to bring my family here and become a NOC Maverick family."

Miller can't wait to start the newly created women's program.

"I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity that Northern Oklahoma College has given me," Miller said.  "It has been a dream of mine to be a college head coach since I was little. To be the Inaugural Head Women's Wrestling Coach at NOC is something I take with a great deal of pride."

"I want to thank the people who have helped me along the way," he added.  "Southwestern Oregon Community College coaches Adam Whitlach and Josh White were a big help. They are two excellent coaches who treated me like family.  I definitely wouldn't be here without them. The entire SWOCC athletic department has help me become a better person I can't begin to thank them. I would also like to thank Chad Mattox because he was a huge help in getting my foot in the college door.:

I can't wait to get started. This has all been surreal. I can't begin to thank everyone at NOC for giving me this opportunity."

Kenney will assist Miller with the women's program while Miller will assist Kenney with the Maverick men.
