The NOC Lady Mavs fell to Butler (KS) 64-55 on Saturday in the Lady Mav Classic.

Alanna Williams led the Lady Mavs with 16 points off the Lady Mav bench while Leila Washington added 12.

Amber Brazendale and Kyra Criss had nine points each.  Brazendale added seven rebounds while Marta Perez Souza added four blocks.

"We're continuing to improve against good teams," said coach Greg Krause.  "Our zone defense gave us some good coverage and looks like something we can turn to at times. I thought we had good non-starting guard play. We're looking forward to two road games next week."

NOC trailed 53-35 after three quarters and then cut the lead by outscoring Butler 20-11 in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Mavs are at Independence (KS) on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
