NOC Tonkawa fell to Temple (TX) 97-90 Friday in the Lady Mavs Classic in Tonkawa.

Leila Washington led the Lady Mavs with 20 points while five other Lady Mavs reached double figures.

Ella Murphy added 16 while Marta Perez Souza had 13.  Emma Roberts had 12 while Kyra Criss and Amber Brazendale added 10 each.

Washington led the Lady Mavs with nine rebounds while Souza and Roberts had five assists each.

"There was encouraging improvement, especially offensively and handling pressure," said coach Greg Krause.  "We're going to stay focused on getting better each day."

NOC trailed the Leopards by just one basket at the start of the fourth quarter before temple extended the lead to 97-90.

The Lady Mavs shot 36% from the floor and 24% from 3-point range.
