Big third quarter leads to Lady Mavs 80-53 win over Redlands

The NOC Lady Mavs used a big third quarter to rout Redlands 80-53 Monday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse in Tonkawa.

The Lady Mavs (9-6) improved to 4-1 in conference while Redlands (8-5) fell to 2-3.

NOC was led by Jordan Holman with 17 while Jatalyah Williams added 16.  Shelby Rayner and Travisha Cogdell added 13 each.

The Lady Mavs led 31-21 at half but then put the game away outscoring Redlands 30-10 in the third quarter to build a commanding 61-35 lead.

"I thought our team defense stayed active and created some scoring opportunities," said coach Greg Krause.  "We had balanced scoring and good production off the bench. It was a good conference win.'

The Lady Mavs had 15 steals, Rayner had six and Jordan Holman four.  Holman led the club with six rebounds, Rayner had six assists.

NOC travels to Murray State Thursday, tip-off is at 5:3o p.m.
