Northern Oklahoma College athletics named Cassie Manning and J.D. Ray as Student Athletes of the Week for Feb. 10.

Manning is a freshman from Glencoe, Ray is a freshman from Midwest City.

For the week, Manning averaged 16 points, five rebounds, shot 48% from the field (10-21), and 50% from the 3-point line (8-16).

"Cassie (Manning) has been a very reliable source of offense for us lately," said coach Greg Krause.  "She is getting more comfortable with her transition to college basketball and rounding out to be a very important player as we near conference playoffs."

In two games last week, Ray averaged eight points and five assists.

"J.D. (Ray) deserves recognition," said coach Donnie Jackson.  "He doesn't score the most points on our team every night but he facilitates for his teammates.  He plays fast, he pressures the ball, and creates havoc on defense.  As he continues to get better, we will get better.  When he plays well, we play well.  I am proud of who he is as a player but he is an even better person that handles his business every day."
