The Northern Oklahoma College Lady Mavs split two games in the Maverick Classic Friday and Saturday in Tonkawa.
NOC (2-2) blasted Allen County 76-61 on Friday behind 16 points from Chelsea Rhodes and then lost 73-38 to Cowley Saturday night.
"We played well against Allen on Friday," said Lady Mavs head coach Greg Krause. "I knew that Cowley would bounce back and play well the second day, and they played very well. Their zone was very effective. We have work to do with our zone offense. It's important that we always learn and adjust. We expect to have Mia Brown and Jaiden Biddy back this week from concussion protocol, which will help us too."
