Townsend comes to NOC Tonkawa from Pryme Fastpitch 18u Premier-Townsend where he has been the head softball coach the past four years.  He also has been with Perfect Game Softball-Bixby beginning in 2023 where he was Co-Tournament Director of Recruiting.

Before Coach Townsend’s time at Pryme Fastpitch and Perfect Game Softball, he spent two years with the Oklahoma Athletics and multiple years coaching independent softball travel ball teams.  He has multiple top regional and national finishes with back to back National Championships (2023 USSSA, 2023 FASA) and has helped over 75 athletes continue playing collegiately.  

He graduated from University Of Texas-Austin where he earned a Bachelor's degrees in Kinesiology and Nutrition. He won a national championship in 2002 under Augie Garrido.
