Mavs sweep Frank Phillips, extend winning streak to six

BORGER, Texas -- The Northern Oklahoma College Mavs used strong pitching performances from Taylor Lane and Jenna Chassie to sweep Frank Phillips College Friday afternoon.

NOC (9-3) has now six straight.

Mavs 11, Frank Phillips 1

In Game 1, sophomore Taylor Lane (5-2) allowed no hits in five innings while striking out nine.  The run she allowed was unearned.

Lane received plenty of offensive support as Madison Kettler and Rachel Rumsey had two hits each and Liz McKellip added three runs batted in.

NOC scored in four of the five innings.

Mavs 8, Frank Phillips 2

In Game 2, Jenna Chassie pitched a complete game allowing two runs on four hits while striking out seven.

Baylee Scrimshire had four hits for the Mavs while Kettler and Kendal Heisler had two hits each.  Scrimshire and Timber Mitchell had two runs batted in each.

NOC led 1-0 until the fifth when the Mavs exploded for seven runs over the game's final three innings.
