The Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks swept Allen County in home softball action last Thursday 7-0 and 16-8.
NOC (7-3) has won six straight.
Game 1
Mavs 7, Allen 0
Sophomore Taylor Lane tossed a three hit shut out while Sarah Rienke and Rachel Rumsey had two runs batted in each in a 7-0 Mavs win.
Lane struck out 11 and walked none.
NOC broke open a 1-0 game with five runs in the fourth. Liz McKellip scored three runs for the Mavs Baylee Scrimshire added two hits.
The Mavs played errorless ball in the field.
Game 2
Mavs 16, Allen 8
NOC pounded out 16 hits in a 16-8 run rule win over Allen County to complete the sweep.
Sarah Reinke and Rachel Rumsey had three hits each to lead a 16 hit attack.
Kendall Heisler added a double and four runs batted in.
Jenna Chassie (3-1) was the winner in relief of Kylie Garrett. Chassie struck out eight in gaining the win.
The Mavs trailed 7-6 before scoring nine runs in the fourth to take a 15-8 lead.
