PRATT, Kansas – Northern Oklahoma College hitters blasted two home runs in each game of a Northern Oklahoma College doubleheader sweep at Pratt Community College Wednesday.
NOC (5-3) won the first game 7-0 and the nightcap 9-3.
In Game 1, sophomore Taylor Lane (3-2) pitched a one hit shutout in the 7-0 win striking out seven while walking four.
Lane got all the support she needed from Madison Kettler and Rachel Rumsey who each homered. Rumsey had three hits and two runs batted in.
In Game 2, Jenna Chassie (2-1) went the distance allowing just one earned run scattering six hits striking out seven.
The Mavs pounded out 14 hits with Baylee Scrimshire collecting three hits. Rachel Rumsey and Morgan Rohwer homered while Aylin Nunez, Emily Poindexter, Kendall Heisler and Liz McKellip had two hits each.
Pratt led 3-2 until the 5th when the Mavs struck for five runs to take a 7-3 lead.
