The Lady Mavs softball team moved in and got settled on campus last Thursday, August 16th. While attending all of the move in activities, the Lady Mavs said they enjoyed the inflatable water slide the most. Sophomore, Liz McKellip said "the inflatables were really fun and a good idea. It was nice to see a lot more people come out this year, like soccer and some basketball players!"
Saturday afternoon the Mavs took a trip to Kaw Lake for a night of team bonding at the NOC cabins. The girls kicked off the trip by laying out and swimming followed by games, dinner, and a bonfire to end the night. The team was able to take this time to get to know each other and the coaches. Head coach, Kadie Berlin-George says she was "excited with how well the trip went. This was the first year I've taken a team anywhere off campus like that and I thought it was a great way for them to spend some time together."
