The NOC Mavs led Eastern throughout Thursday but fell in double overtime to Eastern 99-87.
Jack Riley led the Mavs with 20 points and nine rebounds. Antwan Jones added 19 points while Kabron Lewis added 17, and Jace Breath 13. Riley added seven assists while Jones and Breath added five each.
The Mavs built a double figure lead in the first half at 42-30 but Eastern rallied to tie the game at 74-74 after regulation.
After an even first overtime, the Mountaineers took advantage of Mavs foul trouble in the second overtime earning the 99-87 win.
The Mavs shot 48% from the floor and 45% from 3-point range.
NOC (4-19) fell to 1-8 in conference while Eastern (12-11) improved to 2-7.
The Mavs are at Western Monday night.
