Xon Williams game winning free thrown with :01 led NOC to a 76-75 win over Seminole Monday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.
Jack Riley led the Mavs with 20 points while Williams added 17 and Kody Hickerson 13.
NOC trailed the Trojans 71-70 with 3:59 left when James Brown, jr. scored on a driving layup with 3:30 left to give NOC a 72-71 lead. Williams then scored on a traditional 3-point play to give the Mavs a 75-72 lead.
Seminole then cut the lead to 75-74 and then tied the game with one free throw tying the score at 75-75 with :19.0 left.
NOC then held for the final shot, Williams drove to the basket and was fouled with :01 left setting the stage for Williams' game winning free throw.
The Mavs (4-13) improved to 1-2 in league play while Seminole (10-6) fell to 0-2 in conference.
The Mavs are at Murray State at 7:30 p.m. Thursday night.
