Anthony Ignowski's lay-up with :10.1 remaining was the difference in the Mavericks 75-73 win over NOC Enid in a Monday night thriller in Tonkawa.

Monday's win improved the Mavs to 11-7 on the year and 3-2 in conference while the Jets dropped to 8-12 and 0-6 in league play.

"We knew going into the game it would be a battle," said coach Brandon Gossett.  "These rivalry games are always a lot of fun. I was proud of our efforts defensively in the second half. We seemed to be more locked in on our mission and it led us to having an opportunity to win the game in our final possession. That last play was executed perfectly by everyone allowing for Anthony to give us the go-ahead lay-up."

The Mavs trailed 42-32 at half but erased the margin taking a 56-55 lead with 9:39 remaining.

In a game that featured six ties and seven lead changes, the Mavs took a 73-69 lead on a Jordan Gorecki dunk with 1:45 left.  After the Jets tied the game at 73-73, the Mavs then scored the game winner on Ignowski's lay-up.

The Mavs then prevailed when Kole Scott's shot for NOC Enid was off the mark.

Javontae Campbell led the Mavs with 17 while Ignowski added 14, James Brown, Jr. 13, and Tyson Brown 12.

The Mavs are at Redlands Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.
