
In the first game back from winter break, the Northern Oklahoma College Mavs outlasted the Oklahoma City Storm 96-88 Friday night in Tonkawa.
The Mavs improved to 8-5 with the win.
NOC led the Storm 44-40 at half and built a 16 point lead at 84-68 before the Storm rallied to within six at 90-84 before the Mavs put the game away.
James Brown, Jr, led the Mavs with 21 points while Anthony Ignowski added 20. Jordan Gorecki added 16 points and Tyler Day 13.
NOC played without Javontae Campbell and Matet Dhieu who sat out with injuries.
NOC hosts Eastern Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the conference opener.
