Seminole broke NOC's 10 game winning streak with a last second buzzer beater Thursday night at Foster-Piper Fieldhouse.

The 70-69 loss dropped the Mavs to 12-4 on the year, 3-1 in conference play while Seminole improved to 14-1, 3-1 in conference play.

Syrus Grisby and DJ Jones led the Mavs with 13 points while Elijah Pickens added 11.

The Mavs led 69-66 with :09.3 left when Seminole's Israel Hart scored to cut the lead to 69-68.  The Trojans then forced a Maverick turnover and Hart then hit a baseline jumper to give the Trojans the 70-69 win.

"I didn't think we executed like we had first semester," said coach Brad Witherspoon.  "Credit to Seminole. I thought they outplayed us at times. We didn't help ourselves by missing free throws and making a couple big mistakes late"

NOC jumped out to a hot start building an early 19-7 and led 28-18 before Seminole went on a 10-0 run to tie the game at 28-28.  The Mavs led 35-32 at half.

The two teams traded leads in the second half with Seminole building a 55-49 lead before NOC rallied to tie the game at 61-61.

The Mavs then built a 67-62 lead with 1:16 before Seminole outscored the Mavs 8-2 down the stretch.

The Mavs host Eastern Monday night at 7:30 p.m.  There will be no women's game Monday night.
