Demaree King named 3rd Team All-American

Northern Oklahoma College sophomore guard Demaree King was named NJCAA 3rd Team All-American on Monday.

King led the Mavs to the NJCAA National Basketball Tournament averaging 19.5 points per game shooting 46 percent from 3-point range.  He also averaged 3.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists per contest.

NOC coach Donnie Jackson was ecstatic with King's selection.

"I'm very proud of Demaree and the recognition he has received, he has earned all of it," Jackson said.

"From walk-on to All-American, that is quite the story for a young man who has put the work to get the opportunities he has earned," Jackson added.  "I couldn't be happier and more excited for him."

King recently committed to Jacksonville State (Alabama).
