NOC men rout Eastern 104-59

WILBURTON, Oklahoma -- The #11 Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks routed Eastern 104-59 at Wilburton Thursday night.

The Mavs (19-2) improved to 5-2 in OCAC play.

Tyrel Morgan led four Mavs in double figures with 19 points in a 104-59 rout of Eastern.

Demaree King added 18 while Avante Lederer had 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Deaveon Bankston added 10 for NOC.

The Mavs shot 58 percent from the floor exploding to a 61-29 halftime lead and then coasted to the 45- point win.

"We picked up a huge conference road win," said coach Donnie Jackson.  "Winning on the road is hard, they have lost just one home game the past two years.  Our guys came out with intensity and focus right from the jump.  We shared the ball well, limited our turnovers early against their press, and limited their good looks from 3-point range. I'm proud of them."

NOC hosts Seminole on Monday.

"We are both 5-2 in conference and are both trying to stay in the hunt.  They are a very good team and we'll have to play well to beat them."

Thursday's win was the 150th for Jackson at NOC.
