HOT SPRINGS, Arkansas --  The #15 NOC Tonkawa Mavs scored in the first five innings and cruised 12-3 over Southeast Arkansas in the first round of the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Wednesday.

Joseph Canzoni led a 15 hit attack with four hits and three runs batted in while Eric Harper homered and doubled scoring four runs for NOC.

Will Johnson, Aidan Zakarewicz, and Jadan Boyce had two hits each.

That's all the support Kamden Edge (12-0) would need as he worked 5.1 innings for the Mavs allowing two runs while striking out eight.  Rylan Newman earned his second save of the year with 3.2 innings of one run relief.  

The Mavs (49-7) face Murray State Thursday at 7 p.m. in a winner's bracket game.
