TISHOMINGO, Oklahoma -- Blade Carver homered and Logan Taylor worked 6.2 innings of one run baseball in a 6-1 win at Murray State in Game 2 of the conference opening series.

The Mavs (30-1) improved to 2-0 in conference while Murray (16-12) fell to 0-2.

Taylor worked 6.2 innings allowing one run on two hits while Evan Rolison tossed 2.1 innings of one hit relief striking out six.

Carver's two run home run was part of a four run fifth as NOC built a 4-1 lead.  After Murray answered with one run, the Mavs scored two in the seventh to increase the lead to 6-1.

Brandon Mausser and Eric Harper had two hits each as NOC outhit Murray 8-3.
