MELISSA, Texas --  Kamden Edge and Rylan Newman combined on a two-hit shut out in an 8-0 NOC win over Garden City in Melissa, Texas on Friday.

Carson Taylor had three hits while Aidan Zakarewicz and Will Johnson had two hits each.  Hendrik Vandermeer and Christian Stratis each drove in two runs.

Edge struck out five in four innings while Newman fanned five in three innings.

The Mavs (9-0) pitched their third shut out of the season.
