NOC Tonkawa made short work of Iowa Lakes in the season opener with a 20-3 rout Saturday afternoon.

The Mavs (1-0) pounded 13 hits led by Will Johnson, Jadan Boyce, Joseph Canzoni, and Carson Taylor with two hits each.  Johnson added five rbi's for the Mavs while Aidan Zakarewicz and Eric Harper drove in three runs each.

Blade Carver added a solo blast for the Mavs.

Kamden Edge worked the first two innings while Kolby Heskett and Jake Coulter worked in relief.
