
ALTUS, Oklahoma -- Caleb Lunnon tossed a complete game Friday as the Mavs split a pair at Western in Altus.
Lunnon, a freshman from Piedmont, Oklahoma, allowed one earned run scattering 11 hits in a 4-3 Mavs win in Game 2. He threw 108 pitches, 78 of them strikes.
NOC broke open a 2-2 tie in the sixth when Darian Duhon singled home Matt Stancliff and then Cash Jay's fly out drove in Cade Tucker.
NOC scored two runs in the fifth when a Garrison Brandt double scored Jay and Enrique Alvaraez, Jr.
In Game 1, Western scored four runs in the fifth to earn a 6-3 win over the Mavs.
NOC scored three runs in the fourth on an rbi single by Garrison Brandt and a Cash Jay sacrifice fly.
Stancliff, Brandt, and Thomas Dunn had hits for the Mavs. Eli Cartwright started for the Mavs with bullpen help from Gage Norvell.
The Mavs (13-9) host Western in a doubleheader on Sunday.
