Yocham’s four goals lead NOC past Redlands

EL RENO, Oklahoma --  Skylar Yocham had four goals in a 9-1 Northern Oklahoma College Women's Soccer rout of Redlands Community College Sunday in El Reno.

NOC (2-5) improved to 1-3 in conference play.

Yocham scored three goals in a five minute span in the first half as NOC built a 6-1 halftime lead.  Yocham is a freshman from Bristow.

Tilly Willis, Hannah Long, and Zoe Athens also added goals in the first half.

In the second half, Yocham added her fourth goal while Janet Moreno and Nancy Herr scored one goal each.

"It was important to pick up three points today in conference," said coach Jade Ovendale.   "We have had a tough time finding the back of the net in previous games so it is nice to get that feeling back of scoring goals. At times in the game we played some good combinations and some of our passes via the midfield were weighted really well for our forwards."

"Everyone got the opportunity today to play a good amount of minutes," Ovendale added.  "We have some girls on the team that have been patiently waiting and came on and did really well for us. I am happy for our forwards Hannah Long and Nancy Herr to score their first career goals and it was nice to see Zoe Athens get on the scoresheet via a corner kick. We want to keep this winning taste in our mouth and get ready for this Thursday's game at Murray."

Maddie Cochran had two assists for NOC while Sofie Joergensen, Katelyn Glock, Hannah Long, Janet Moreno, Savannah Nelson, and Tilly Willis had one assist each.
