Women's Soccer recognized our sophomores : Nicole Houston, Marybel Garcia, Megan Deshazo, Alicia Chain, Alondra Castillo, Mayra Vega, Kayla Mireles, Daisy Brown and Jonnie Carson.

"We thank our sophomores for all of their hard work they put into our program. They have had a great career at Northern and look forward to following their success as they continue their education at a variety of schools. I am very proud of what they have achieved and wish them all the best." Coach Ovendale.

Individual awards were also handed out. 

Megan Deshazo picked up MVP and Offensive Player of the Year:

Coach Ovendale comments "Megan truly deserved both honors. She is a good example of what being a student-athlete is all about. She has great grades and gave her all in training and season. She was our top scorer and a good leader and example for our team. She is a great young lady and who I know will have a very successful future" 

Marybel Garcia picked up Defensive Player of the Year:

Coach Ovendale adds: "Marybel has been an absolute joy to coach. She is very coachable and just gets on with it. In my eyes she was one the best outside backs in our conference and hope she knows her work has not gone unnoticed. Marybel is humble and a hard worker, she is going to have a bright future"

Maddie Cochran was Midfielder of the Year:

Coach Ovendale ends with: "Maddie was a vital part of our midfield. She did not pick up many statistics, but covered a lot of ground for us and moved the ball through the thirds for us. She has come a long way in her development and has had a excellent offseason. I expect big things from Maddie next year for us."
