INDEPENDENCE, Missouri -- Northern Oklahoma College Lady Mavs Soccer won their final non-conference game of the season with a 3-2 win over MCC-Blue River in Independence, Missouri, last Thursday.

NOC (7-5-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead and cruised to the 3-2 win.

Mayra Vega had two goals while Megan Deshazo added one for NOC.  Deshazo, Vega, and Maddie Cochran each added an assist.

"It was a good day to play a non-conference game and get everyone out on the field," said interim head coach Jade Ovendale.   "It was a good opportunity for those to play who may not as get many minutes as they like. They all stepped up and did a great job. I am very proud of them because there is only a certain amount of starting spots and minutes to play, and they always have great attitude in games and in training.
