EL RENO, Oklahoma -- The Northern Oklahoma College Lady Mavs fell to Redlands Community College 2-1 Sunday afternoon in El Reno.
NOC (5-5) fell to 5-3 in NJCAA Region 2 play while Redlands (6-3-2) improved to 2-3-2 in conference play.
Lady Mav Piper Woodard scored in the first half on a Kayla Mireles assist to take a 1-0 lead.
Redlands then scored late in the first half and early in the second half to take a 2-1 win over NOC.
"Yesterday was a difficult loss to take, our performance was below our usual standard," said interim head coach Jade Ovendale. "We had a few more chances after Woodard scored, one hit the crossbar and the others we were unable to convert them."
"We had a great opportunity when Megan Deshazo had a great shot in the second half which their keeper made a great save," she added. "We have to continue to be focused, work on our composure in midfield and be more clinical in front of goal."
NOC hosts Eastern at 1 p.m. Tuesday, weather permitting.
