The Lady Mavs (1-2) rallied to beat the NEO Lady Norse 3-2 Thursday afternoon at the NOC Soccer Complex.

Kayla Mireles scored the game winner for NOC completing a rally from down 2-0 in the Lady Mavs 3-2 win.

Mireles connected on a rebound from a corner kick to give the Lady Mavs the win.

She also assisted on the other two NOC goals, one from Marybel Garcia and the other from Mayra Vega.

"I am very pleased to get the win for the start of conference," said interim head coach Jade Ovendale.  "NEO scored  quick goals at the beginning of each half but we dominated the majority of the game." 

"Kayla (Mireles) was our creative outlet and assisted two goals and grabbed the winner," Ovendale added.  "I thought our center back's Daisy (Brown) and Mackenzie (Kirschner) showed massive improvement in this game."

NOC travels to Eastern Sunday for games beginning at 2 p.m.
