The Lady Mavs reported on August 2nd on campus to prepare for the upcoming 2018 season. Coach Castillo's roster has a total of 24 players. "He have a very competitive squad right now. Everyone knows by now that whoever is ready is the one that will get to play. It's an honor to play at the collegiate level and we are facing it like that. We want to make everyone proud in the classroom and on the field, that's one of our main goals". What are your expectations for this season? "Nationals" coach replied.
The team has a new addition in the coaching staff. A former Mav and USAO goalkeeper Chris Brown. "Chris has brought a new level of intensity to the team, the girls are being pushed not only physically but mentally. It is something we talked about it and we needed for this season" said Coach Castillo. "He has been amazing for the team so far".
The team will continue the 2 a days and travel to Tulsa to play "Samba Elite" on Sunday August 12th.
