Tonkawa, Ok. Adding to a successful program that captured its fourth Region 2 Championship in four years in 2017, Northern Oklahoma women's soccer has announced the program's incoming class of 2020: Abbey West, Emma Peak, Kayla Hooper, Marissa Gaytan, Savannah Nelson, Kate LSpasia, Piper Woodward, Madeline Kindred, Lea Johnson, Ariana Ramirez, Kenlie Adkins, Hannah Hambree, Madison Cochran and Ana Moazami.
"We are really excited to welcome the class of 2020," said Dr. Juan de Dios Castillo, The Head Coach for Northern Women's Soccer. "Above all, we have added incredible people to the NOC women's soccer family. In addition to the great character, we are adding a wealth of competitive experience to the squad. Members of our incoming class have plenty of experience in youth soccer. This balance of character and great level experience will be invaluable for this diverse group as they transition into the soccer program at NOC."
The group spans four states, which include; Alaska, Montana, Oklahoma and Texas. The talented freshmen add to a group that posted a 16-2-1 mark in 2017, including a 10-0 mark in the OCAC Conference.
Abbey West |GK| Glenpool, Ok. 4A State Champion in 2015, State Semifinalist in 2016, Quarter finalist in 2017. 2 time team MVP. Vype Magazine All Tulsa Team. 3 time all district team. Played club soccer for 11 years with Blitz United and TSCH.
Emma Peak |D| Charles Paige HS, OK. Captain her junior and senior year in HS as well as her club team. 4 year starter in HS. 2013 WSA Cup Champion. Champion of the Edison Tournament in 2014 ande 2015. Has played club soccer for 11 years at West Side Alliance.
Kayla Hooper |D,M| Ponca City, OK. Ponca City HS starter and the only junior captain. Played varsity all 3 years and lettered all 3. Academic achievment 3 years. All district honorable mention all 3 years.Has scored 12 goals and 2 assists. PC United starter and captian. Won league at U12, U13 and U14.
Marissa Gaytan |D| Princeton, TX. 2015 State runner up. 2016 first team all district. 2017 Second team all district. District Champs 2015, 2016, 2017.
Savannah Nelson |M| Owasso, OK. Owasso Varsity HS Team. NEOFC 99' NPL. 2016 Played Regionals for Presidents Cup. Member of NSHSS. 3.98 GPA. active STUCO member, Spanish club, spirit crew and youth alive.
Kate LSpasia |D| Bartlesville, OK. Bartlesville Varsity HS Team for 3 years. Scored 2 goals as a center back. PLayerd for FCB in Bartesville for 2 years and 3 years at NEOFC 99. Won NPL league in 2016. PLayed regionals for presidents cup in Texas. Participated in the Olympic Development Program in 2015. Selected for a US club/OPC pLayer development program in Tulsa.
Piper Woodward |F| Sentinel HS, MT. State Tournament in (3rd place) 2015 and (Runner-Up) 2016. Captian in the 2017 season. All state 3 times. All-conference 2 times. Academic Awarded 4 years. Scored 50 goals in her HS career. Plays club for Rocky Mountian FC. Has competed in California, Las Vegas, Colorado Cup. Also played for Strikers and competed in Seattle Cup, Inter Mountain Cup and Hawaii for Regionals.
Madeline Kindred |GK| Soldotna, AK. Plays for Cook Inlet Soccer Club in Anchorage, Alaska. Has won 3 state championships (2014-2017). Has had success at Presidents cup, Disney Cup, Soccer Showcase and Placer United. Received awards for best sportmanship, MVP, and 1st team all-conference. Saved over 50 shots in one game.
Leah Johnson |D,M| Coweta, Ok. 3 times state semifinalist (5A) Coweta HS. Played for TSC Hurricanes 98/99 Winters and 99' Waite.
Ariana Ramirez |D| Clinton, OK. 4A State champion in 2017. 2016-2017 District champions. Captain at her club team (Fusion). Champion at Governor Cup. 2nd place in OSC Classic Cup Tournament with OFC 99 black. Runner of the year for cross country in 2016.
Kenlie Adkins |F| Ponca City, OK Ponca City HS 4 years. Lettered all 4 years. Club sccer for 10 years. Champions in Benefit Tournament, Live finalist (soccer tour 2016). All District honorable mention HS 2016.
Hannah Hembree |M,F| Tonkawa, OK Has played club soccer for 8 years with PC United. Between 2012 and 2015 won 2 competitive leagues championships. Presidents cup semifinalist. She will play for Newkirk HS this spring.
Madison Cochran |M| Tulsa, OK Booker T Washington varsity HS for 4 years. State quarter finalist in 2016. Club soccer for 11 years with TSC Hurricanes and Blitz United. Has played in State Cup and competes in SRPL.
Ana Moazami |D| Tulsa, OK. Has played club soccedr for 6 years playing for WSA, Blitz and TSC. Played Regionals with her club team Blitz United in South Carolina in 2016. Has guest played for Darlignton School in Georgia (2016) and played for Tulsa Spirit in the summer of 2017.
