Northern Student Athletes of the Week are Bryson Reed, Matthew Cross and Daisy Brown.

  Bryson Reed, sophomore goalkeeper from Stillwater and Matthew Cross, sophomore goalkeeper, from Sachse, TX.

  Matthew Cross started both games this week against Southwestern Christian University J.V. and Rose State College.  He allowed just one goal on a penalty kick against SWCU and combined with Bryson for a shutout against Rose State College.

  Bryson Reed played eighty minutes against Rose State.  The Mavs did not allow a shot on goal in the game, but Bryson cut out several crosses in the shut out.

"I think Bryson (Reed) is the top goal keeper in the region and Matthew (Cross) may be the second best.  We are very happy to have them both on our team." Maverick Head Coach Michael DuRoy.

  Daisy Brown, a freshman from Jenks is the Student Athlete of the Week for the Lady Mavs.

  "Daisy had to replace our captain (Kariss Dunson) and did an outstanding job," said coach Juan de Dios Castillo.  "She was very strong in the back and helped us control Rose's attacks.  Her work ethic and positive attitude every day are awesome."
